What if our high school students took on research tasks for a greater purpose than a classroom grade?
Questions like this led FVL Alumnus Jason Paltzer (1995) to begin talking with FVL last November about a potential opportunity for students. Discussions developed into a pilot program that will allow several students—chosen through an application process—and a faculty mentor to incorporate public health research and ministry.

The last day to purchase SCRIP for credit in the 2023-24 school year is Friday, May 29. Please check FVL's online calendar (fvlhs.org/calendar) for our summer hours and any special holiday hours.

Over 240 7th graders visited campus on Wednesday, April 12 for Discover FVL. Groups participated in activities in the gym, STEM lab, and participated in an historical presidential election. They heard campaign speeches from (and then voted for their choice of) Alexander the Great, Marie Antoinette, Genghis Khan, and Rosalind Franklin. Gehghis Khan won!
Based on Philippians 4:4, the FVL Schools annual theme for next school year will be Rejoice in the Lord Always. Thanks to Rev. David Wenzel of FVL for the idea and the FVL Religion Department for organizing monthly sub-themes. The design was created by Mrs. Sharon Ragner in the Communications Office.
