Thank You for Your Service!

For a number of years, Mr. Jay Wendland has considered moving from ministry to pursue another career path. Although he has had opportunities over the past 8-10 years, timing wasn't right and the situations were not in alignment with family obligations and ministry opportunities.

Effective June 30, 2024, Mr. Jay Wendland will be resigning both his position as Mission Advancement Counselor and Head Varsity Basketball Coach to pursue an opportunity with Edward Jones. Although this was an extremely difficult decision due to his love for FVL and also basketball, Jay and his family are at peace with this decision. FVL supports Jay and his family in his decision and will look forward to continuing to serve them, as their children continue their education at FVL and Heidi continues in her service to our ministry in the Guidance Department.

Well done, good and faithful servant. We pray the Lord sustains and supports you in your move to another vocation in the future.
