Summer updates . . .

help with continuing our mission
of preparing teens for lives of service and eternity

Students and parents returning to FVL for the new school year may have noticed a few changes. The campus, often somewhat quiet over the summer months, was busy with renovations in 2023. Increases in enrollment over the past few years and projections that those increases will continue into the foreseeable future have necessitated these updates.

Locker Expansion:

2022-2023 already saw an emergency need for more lockers, and temporary units were installed in the technology hallway for the year. The expansion project began over spring break and was completed this summer with the installation of new lockers. We now have space to accommodate 827 students.

Communications Suite:

A larger student body creates the need for a larger staff. Last year, Mrs. Amy Gilmet accepted a call to become the new Assistant Dean of Student Life. Additionally, our Mission Advancement Office is in the process of expanding. To accommodate this growth and the need for office space, a classroom was converted into a suite of offices over the summer. This suite contains offices for our Communications team, our publications print shop, and a room which will be outfitted for use as a studio for video production.

Roof:

The original plan was to complete the roof replacement in three phases over three summers. Phase One was completed on schedule in the summer of 2022. Through the Lord’s blessings, the project is scheduled to be finished this fall, with one final push to pay it off at the end of 2023 (a $100,000 gift match has been established by a generous group of donors).

These and the many other improvements we see around campus serve as constant reminders to us that God is Forever Faithful in his promises to bless his work in ministries around the world and here at Fox Valley Lutheran.
