Now, nearly four months later, the group still exists and meets weekly off-campus for about 90 minutes: studying the Bible, discussing life issues without fear of criticism, and finding ways that their shared passion can be brought to many, many more teens. The 16 have expanded to almost 30 students. The goal is to double that number over the summer to nearly 60 students, and then double it again heading into August 2023. A concerted effort is being made to grow the group while maintaining the small-group atmosphere, which encourages discussion and sharing.

As peers invite and encourage classmates, volunteer leaders will nourish smaller groups of these teens in and through God’s Word. Group members will also support and encourage one another through their interactions, always maintaining a sense of safety in their open discussions. All of this will be centered around Christ and our relationship with him. May God continue to bless our teen leaders growing and implementing their faith-lives with one another at FVL and one day throughout the world.
